Wamore, Inc. is a full service engineering, manufacturing, and production solutions provider. Wamore was originally established in 1988 as Warrick & Associates, founded by James C. Warrick. Wamore was incorporated in 2002. Wamore has provided engineering, testing, and manufacturing services to the aerospace community. One of our core competencies has been enhancing survivability of personnel and equipment during aircraft crashes. In 1997, this competency evolved into safe, accurate delivery of airdropped cargo. Selected projects and clients include:
- Crashworthy seats for military helicopters and contributions to the US Army Crash Survival Design Guide 1989 Edition - Simula Inc. (now absorbed into BAE)
- Crashworthy seats for passenger airliners - Airline Interiors Inc. (now absorbed into BAE)
- Landing gear enhancement of the of AH-64 Apache helicopter to absorb more crash energy - Boeing
- Passenger lap belt redesign to comply with the 1990 FAA 16-G occupant retention upgrade – AmSafe Corp. Any airline passenger in the last 20 years has probably used the lap belt buckle designed by Jim Warrick.
- Military crew restraint systems development or enhancement including: buckles, webbing adjusters, shoulder harness inertia reels, power-haul-back reels, parachute release buckles (including automatic water-activated) – H Koch & Sons ( now absorbed into Conax).
- Airdrop technology enhancements for the Natick Soldier Systems Center and other US Gov’t Agencies, including:
- Airbags to cushion airdropped cargo landing - (1997 - 2000)
- Soft landing by retracting cargo toward parachute just before landing (Soft Touchdown And Rapid Rigging/Derigging Airdrop System, STARRDAS) - (2000 - 2002)
- Airborne Guidance Units (AGU) for parafoils delivering cargo weights of 500 lb, 2K lb, 10K lb, 30K and 40K lb - (2003 - ongoing)
- AGU qualification and production contracts for the Joint Precision Air Delivery System (JPADS) 2K and 10K
- Development and demonstration of an Advanced Cargo Parachute Release System (ACPRS)- (2005 - ongoing)
- Wireless Gate Release System to safely and efficiently deploy CDS bundles from military aircraft
